I remember back when-- I took an electrical theory class. The instructor talked about the reason for positive ground systems. He said the reason was, electrons flow from negative to positive and a small amount of molecules of metal moved along with them. This eventually would weaken the frame with neg. ground. Most tractors and semi tractors had pos. ground to avoid this, later research found this to be a non-issue. That was it,to the best of my remaining memory.
