Keep it simple. Filter first. Then on the bottom of the MCV there is a plug which is the flow control valve. Take it out and then wind some emery cloth on a dowl rod. Using a drill smooth up the bore in there. clean up and install valve. This is what dealer said to do on our 674. Took care of the problem. If these don't work then it is time for more drastic measures. Also recheck oil level.
