I need to fine tune the Cub distributor by rotating for the optimum advance or retard. Can this be done while running? It has been set by eye according to the operator's manual, and runs pretty well, but I've got a slight miss every 3 or 4 seconds. Could be the carb too. The miss is more apparent at idle or in a no-load condition. I would rather not pull the hood. Is it possible to get a wrench around the wires, block, and hood?
