Having pushed snow for a number of years with a Cub, I'm going to suggest that even with the rear weights you'll be much happier if you also use tire chains.
(I'll also suggest that if you have any trees with low branches around your place, you'll be happier if you shorten the pipe coming out of the manifold or else the muffler outlet pipe about six inches).
