560, 806, 856 have the same bell housing bolt pattern. Not the exact same shape but the bolt holes will line up.
I'd still swap front covers and back plates between the two engines before installing the 301 into a 560.
The 856 would be a direct bolt in, except the frame rails will end up being about an inch short. The diesel back plate is about 1" thicker than the gas, so the frame rails are shorter to make the sheet metal fit. Save the 806 gas frame rails if you ever think you might want to do this.
Same goes if you're putting a diesel in the 806 gas. The hood will be about 1" short of fitting unless you change out the frame rails.
