300 two way hyds??????

I have a friend who put a loader on a 300, its all hyd. he is having trouble because he only gets one way hyds on the bucket and the boom, he is using the outlets on both sides of the tractor. one side for the bucket and the other side for the boom, the bucket will curl up but settle back down, he cant put down pressure on the boom, it is acting like it is one way hyds, whats the problem, cylinders have all been rebuilt. any help would be appreciated. I havent seen it so dont know much more about it. thanks
