An individual at an auction, said that he sold a 300 to a friend. The TA worked until his friend adjusted it to the book specs. So he went over to his friends house and adjusted it until it worked again. These are old worn machines. Chances are that it needs some worn parts replaced, but you are not out anything if you continue playing with the linkage. Mine was like yours is now and I really enjoy having that TA working as it should. I replaced the pins, springs, and rollers. Good luck SDE
