I've used a Mr. Gasket in-line gas filter on my Super H for 15 years. The sediment bowl and filter screen are not a real effective filter. The Mr. Gasket filter even filters out water. I've used them on small engines for 30 years.
Do a search on Summit Racing's site for Mr. Gasket. It's a whole $8.95 plus shipping and handling. Installs with included hose barbs and a couple worm gear hose clamps. The filter has a clear glass outer sleeve so you can see if it's dirty, and it comes apart for cleaning and the filter element is reusable.
