If there is way incorrect timing, and or valve timing is off a tooth, or the carb is dumping fuel in wildly, it could act like that. I believe (though you show poor compression) that it should run way better than it does. A worn engine can make fair power. A worn engine can run smooth. I would set the valve adjustment. then check the timing and distributor shaft wear. If all else seems perfect then I condemn the compression. What is the history of the issue. Jim
