The days of the collector have pretty much passed. That ship has sailed like they say. A lot of guys reached a point just like you did and said it isn't worth it or life just gave them other priorities. If you do a quick Ebay "sold" search on farm tractors, you will quickly see that there are very few sales these days. Toy tractors constitute the majority of the sales. That's not to say that you won't find someone like Gordo who wants a restored one. As far as the parts prices going up, with repo stuff I wouldn't expect that to be a valid consideration.
