It's a C or Super C and without the additional photos, serial no. or casting codes noted in earlier responses there are some other identifying differences. The brake and clutch pedals are straight on the C while with a good curve in them for the Super model. All straight C's will have a five digit serial no. while all Supers will have six digit serial no's. unless the seat bases have been switched along the way. Also, the C will have brake bands inside a stamped steel housing and the Supers will have disc brakes along with a cast cover. Those identifying items can't be seen in your photo and there are a few other differences as well. As far as being a useful tractor or not, the Super C (more so then the C because of a larger engine) is probably one of the very best early Farmalls produced in that size being sized for small 80 acre size farms of anything IH produced for many years. Almost 100,000 Super C's were produced in 1951-1954 plus the later following 200, 230 & 240 models followed by the 404. A Farmall Super C with a 2 point IH fast hitch has features which are rare in some cases on modern currently produced same size tractors.
