1948? FARMALL H PTO LOOSE

MY H'S PTO RATTLES - FLOPS ALL AROUND WHEN ENGAGED
THERE IS NO OIL LEAK AND IT OPERATES OK, DOESN'T JUMP OUT. IF YOU TAKE THE IMPLEMENT OFF, YOU CAN TAKE THE PTO SHAFT IN YOUR HAND AND MOVE THE OUTER END UP AND DOWN ABOUT A 1/2 IN. IT ALSO MOVES IN AND OUT. I'M GUESSING IT HAS A BAD BEARING. IS THIS SOMETHING A NOVICE MECHANIC CAN HANDLE OR DO I NEED A PRO? I DO ALL THE OTHER MAINTANCE ON IT. ANY INPUT BEFORE I GET IN TROUBLE WOULD BE A HELP.
