The 240 PTO is a simple transmission driven unit, so the concerns Dick mentioned do not apply. If not totally identical, the PTO from a 200 or 230 will fit and probably the one from a C or Super C as well. If the 240 has a Fast Hitch or 3 point and you get a 200 or earlier PTO, you will need to get or make a PTO shift lever. You will want to find a used unit from any of a variety of sources. Start with the links to the left of this page. My handiest reference was a 6 year old Central Tractor catalog, which at that time showed prices in the $200 range.
