In the dark!

I know its been posted many times before but could somebody send or post me the how-tos on putting an alt. on my 41 H. She has no charging system, no gen., no electrical wiring. I just keep a good charge on my batt.and in this cold weather that sure can test your hide.Also by not having a electrical system could it effect the firing of the engine??? (Besides a man might want to take a spin in the dark)!!
