One problem with mounting the SM under the tank reservoir on a 450 transmission cover is the cover doesn't drop down ahead of the shifter like a SM. getting it mounted takes some work and it will end up a little taller than on a SM or SMTA. Not enough that it can't be used. Another option without using a belt pulley gear box is to mount the reservoir at the SM length from the rear of engine. Make the rear reservoir mounting holes in the cover and a bracket bolt to the holes where the belt pulley gear box went. Then leave the rear tank support on the reservoir in the present location instead of moving it to the front set of mounting holes in the reservoir needed if reservoir is mounted back to the SMTA position.
