I think IH made a mistake when they did not stay with the 3** or 4** designation, as I believe many people at that time thought the 460 replaced the 450, whereas the 460 replaced the 350 and the 560 replaced the 450. If you expected the 460 to pull what the 450 did, you were highly disappointed.
That said, Dad had a 460 and pulled a 3x16" plow or an 11 1/2' disk with no problem in our sandy loam soil. I worked on a ranch one summer and we pulled a 5x14" plow with a 450 gas in dry land wheat stubble or a 3x16" Fast Hitch plow in heavier irrigated corn ground. One of my nephews still has Dad's 460.
