O-K Guys, Now get your crying towels out! Those flat top fenders found their way onto everything from M's & H's, to 400/450's and really looked nice on 460/560's. They were still in production till the end of the 686 model run. They were actually made at the E.Moline combine plant. If the Paint dept. got a run or sag in the paint or dinged one of them the whole fender got sent out to the west yard to wait for the paint dept. to get time to fix it. Actually to ignor it, so when a large corporate tour came up, someone else had to go out & clean up the plant. HUNDREDS AND THOUSANDS of these fenders were crushed under big fork trucks so they could be hauled out in larger numbers for scrap. I'd have taken everyone I could have gotten my hands on then and now!
