Doesn't matter, as long as it is the same point at each end of the measurement.
The beams are the same width so left-side to left-side, or right-side to right-side, or 1/2" to the right of the center.... All will measure the same distance.
AFAIK, the C20 plow is also adjustable. Looking at the frame there are several sets of holes and it appears that if you bolt it together in the right configuration you can get 12", 14" or 16" width. Not sure if the bottoms are different, but as long as you only go narrower, the bottoms that are on it will work fine.
