No, the spark plug gap should not change. I am assuming that the electronic ignition you are refering to is the Genessee system, right? Afterall, the ignition coil, compression ratio etc hasn't changed, and the spark is no hotter than it was with points. Of course, you should read the installation instructions for whatever type of system you purchased to see what the manufacturer's recommendation is.
