The most popular ones you see at shows are a conduit frame with special fittings at the corners & apex to use lengths of metal conduit purchased locally.
The best way to make one stable is to fabricate post weights of large coffee cans filled with concrete, & tying them down on the corners with stakes & ropes.

These are not high wind proof, but my experience has been anything less than 35 mph you will be fine, they keep the rain off as well.
