a suggestion... Even after you replace the seal, when water runs down the steering shaft when it gets wet, it will build up on the top of the seal and want to run inside the steering box. Over time, the bottom of the box fills up with water, which causes the bearing on the output shaft to rust and get loose. Once this is loose, the lower bushing gets worn out as the output shaft wobbles. The steering will get real loose when this happens (the output arm goes up and down due to the wear). Also, the lower seal will be damaged and the box will leak oil. All in all, it stinks! You can reduce the amount of water trying to get into the box by wraping electrical tape (use red so it matches) around the shaft an inch or so above the steering box. Build up about 1/8-1/4 inch thickness. The water will run down the shaft, get diverted by the "drip edge" you have made, and not make it to the box. As I recall, the Super-A has the two piece steering shaft, with the universal joint in the middle (could be wrong). My 100, which is basically a Super-A, has a long single-piece shaft, so there is even more surface for the water to run down. My steering box was so damaged with water that even after rebuilding it the lower seal still leaked, due to pitting in the output shaft. I wound up using the fairly common trick of replacing the oil level check plug with a zerk fitting and filling it up with grease instead of oil. The grease doesn't leak, and my yard no longer smells like 90 Weight gear oil :-)
