Do you really need the round bales? In my opinion, square bales would be much eaiser to handle on a small scale. When I was a boy my Dad and my uncle made hay with a 35 Ferguson tractor, a New Holland Baler (Converted to run on the pto) and a trailer style side delivery rake. The rake was pulled with the Super A Farmall and for year we mowed with a 5 foot sickle on the Super A too, before getting a 7 foot sickle for the Ferguson. Around here a lot of horse owners want to buy square bales because they are eaiser to handle. Of course 30 acres is a lot of hay to square bale, but do you need that much in hay at one time? Just my thoughts.
