I have an IH 1086 that needs an engine overhaul, or, preferably, a used engine if I can find a decent one. I was told by one of the salvage yards that it has a 436 engine and something out of a 1460 combine would work with minimal parts to swap out. Other info that I am finding says the 1086 came out with a 414 engine. Can someone steer me in the right direction? If it is factory with a 414.....will a 436 go in? What combine models (or other machines) would have a suitable replacement engine? Thanks
