Hi T-Bonz, a good indication of how well a diesel engine is working is its cold and warm starting ability. Does your B414 first start in the day start right up after using the glow plugs or do you have to crank engine for a length of time? After it warms up does it start easily without glow plugs? Check air cleaner for being clogged. In a relatively clean environment, you can remove the rubber hose between air cleaner and intake manifold and run the engine to see if smoke decreases. Also as others have suggested, clean fuel, injector cleaner and check that injector return line is not clogged.
