I have an IH 1000 loader on my SUPER A, and it is not unstable at all. Handy as a roll of duct tape.
One big drawback is the total, utter, and complete lack of power steering.
Providing hydraulics on a plain A is one major hurdle to overcome. Those Charlynn power packs don't grow on trees, but neither do the loaders.
Keep in mind that anything driven off the PTO or belt pulley will stop as soon as you push the clutch. You could cobble up an old power steering pump belt-driven off the crankshaft to provide live hydraulics.
I personally would look for a complete setup that came off an A. You don't see them often but you do see them from time to time. Just keep your eyes open and be willing to travel a couple hours in any direction to pick it up.
