i have a 1965 Farmall 706 Gas , i need to swap engines , i bout another 263 gas but came out of a combine . front timing cover on engine in tractor now bolts through frame rails , horizontal bolting , the 263 combine timing gear cover the bolts are vertical , Can i change the timing gear covers and are they interchangable ? or do i need to make brackets to bolt this combine 263 eng ? tractor engine has seized up , and has been setting out side for last 12 years , DO you think this farmall is worth fulling with ? oil in rear end looks good !!!! hoping all internal bearings hydraulic pump being submerged in oil all this time is still good !! But probably find that answer out when tractor is running again Please Help !
