Hi David, sounds like classic junk in the fuel tank that is common on the 74/84 series tractors BUT you said that engine does not loose RPM.
Next question does it have T/A (Hi/Lo lever on dash opposite throttle lever)? If so does it do it in T/A LO or only in T/A Hi? To test clutch drive tractor in 3rd Hi and apply brakes hard, it should drag the engine RPM down. If the engine is not dragged down and ground speed stalls then clutch or HI T/A is slipping. Try again with tractor in LO T/A, if engine is not dragged down and ground speed is stalled then clutch is slipping.
