Thanks Owen....that is the thread I based my question on. I saw what he did and it's funny because I have no idea where he threaded those bolts for the puller. My tractor has a couple of bolts behind the gear where you could insert them, but I didn't see 3 like he shows. Also, none of them line up with the holes on the pulley at the same time. Wonder why??
We have decided to replace the crankshaft also becuase the gear that is welded on the crankshaft has broken loose from the weld and is loose on the keyway...moves back and forth with about 1/4 inch play against the cam gear. Gonna replace the crankshaft and remove the cam and have that gear pressed off.
