If you're going to replace the crankshaft pull the engine. Support the rear of the tractor under the drawbar so it doesn't tilt backwards. I would pull the cam and have the gear pressed off and the new gear pressed on. You may have a hydraulic press. One of my best places I was sent when working for the US Government was Huntsville, AL.
