No need to isolate the battery from the one wire alternator. Some say that the one-wire will discharge the battery in a month if not used. This has not been my experience. Lots of batteries will discharge if left unused for this period of time. Bob M has posted good diagrams for using regular alternators. Search the archives. Regular ones are cheap and plentiful and repairs or rebuild is readily available. Who do you get to repair a one wire?
