Hi Jeff, If the side skin was missing, to low or no T-stat and to high of idle rpm's until the engine warms is where I would look. It's the mositure content of the abiment air that causes carb icing at 30F to 35F but it should only last for a few minutes until the engine warms a little. Keeping a fuel tank full after you ran it the day before will also prevent condensastion from forming inside the fuel tank sitting overnite. T_Bone
