In theory, it is possible as you say to operate the tractor like that. I bought an H one time with same situation with rear tires. I only operated tractor like that long enough to get it home. Yes, the rear end is not locked. But different size wheels is not good idea for prolonged use. Basically, the constant torque will be on one axle and constant wear will be on the related parts instead of splitting the difference upon both axles and all parts. Pick one tire or the other, and find a same sized tire to put on the other side. Would only advise running it like that long enough to find a matching tire. And hey, if your tires are good, you can sell the one you take off. You might end up only being out your trouble of switching them so to speak.
