Last summer we were using the 806 to run the rotary mower and when we would get into some heavy stuff, the motor wouldn't bog, instead got a loud grinding noise from in the belly. Talked to a few local guys and they talked like some teeth would be wore off the main drive in the center section. Well after a long cold winter and finally getting corn in, got it inside and split apart. The gear teeth all apear to be in decent shape. The shaft did seem to have some wobble when the retainer was still installed. I noticed the bearing has a little weld bead on it where it sits in a groove in the retainer, is this possibly someone esles home remedy or was that a factory job. Any other places to check out?
