The hand throttle on the 450 I am restoring does not stay where I set it. I have tightned up the friction screw without much effect. I assume that the notches on the throttle are not there for looks so I am wondering if the handle is supposed to lock into them. Also, there is a spring on the rod at the handle that operates the linkage to the govenor. The handle is on the rod to the rear from the spring, not in front of it. Is that positioned the way it should be?
