Do what Charlie suggested on removing the head first then connecting your lift chain to the engine block. I did this in 1975 on the Farmall A I bought with the stuck engine. You need to block under the drawbar before pulling the engine since the tractor will rock over backwards.
There are dowels on the tractor and you may need to rock the engine side to side easily to clear the dowels. I used a small pinch bar to help pry them off. They make it easy when reinstalling the engine. I put lubri-plate on them when installing the engine. I also had the clutch disc reline before installing the engine.
