There are two separate fluid cavities for the differential/transmission and Hydra-Touch System on the 240 Farmall and International tractors. The fill point for the Hydra-Touch is on the left side just to the rear of the chassis ID plate a few inches and is a vertical plug screwed into a flat boss on the clutch housing and somewhat above the steering shaft running downward at an angle forward to the lower shaft which runs to the steering box. The differential and transmission is filled from a plug on the transmission/rear frame cover behind the seat near the back on the right side of the cover. The two reservoirs or compartments are not connected in any manner and utilize different fluids according to the Operator's and Preventative Maintenance Manuals. I hope you enjoy your 240U but they are somewhat different then the earlier models they superseded, Hal.
