better check the reg if it has been replaced it might be for neg ground on the bottom of the reg it should say which if it is original eq you need pos gnd as that it the way the reg is built polarize the gen by touching the batt term to the arm term DO NOT touch the field clean the posts on the gen they are marked A and F
