I still have the original sales receipt for my 39, somewhere, put away for safeties sake. Shows original price as 625, plus one plow, I think it was 75, not sure now, but has trade in of trailer and goats, 100 bucks. (The great grandfather that bought it raised goats.) Later in 39 he bought an H, and sold the 14 to my other great grandfather for 450. I have that receipt with the other. Its been said, dealers would take horses and cows on trade as well.
