The stock outlet location for the valves is up under the gas tank, one on each side.
It is also common for one valve to have two sets of outlets, one to the front, one to the back.

What probably happened is that the lines for the one valve rusted out or got damaged, and the previous owner just took them off.
I don't think you can just move a set of lines. From what I could tell they are "hard" lines.
Common "O-ring" style fittings will screw right into the valve body, so you can just get the proper elbows, two hoses, and a set of couplers for the second valve.
