If it is using the belly pump, it will be plumbed into some connections just behind the clutch. If that is the case, the reservoir is up inside the belly of the tractor behind the clutch. The level is checked just in front of the belt pully housing. There should be a dip stick there that you unscrew. The hydraulics on the letter farmalls do not use the transmission fluid.
