One way is to decide how far down the sidewall you want the side chains to be, say 3" or 6". Then measure the distance from that point on one side of the tire to that point on the other side. This gives you the length of the cross chain. Then measure from the top of the tire to the bottom of the tire and take off however much you decided from each end of that measurement. Multiply by 3.14 and that is the minimum length of the side chain. Zach
