Best to just pull it off. The seat comes off then there is the side plate under the left side of the seat. That will let you get to the 3 bolts that hold the valves .There are o-rings between the valves plus the ones on the spool. the one for the detent is part of the detent pin. The three balls can be adjusted by the screw in the end of the spool for the stiffness of the detent. We have taken them all out on ours. The job will take half a day to do.
