Unless your engine is a total disaster, I would recommend keeping it and doing a total rebuild. I have not had good results with remanufactured engines from IH or others. Only did them when management made the decision to do so. One knocked the mains out in few hours, one oil cooler leaked contaminating engine. Replacement for that engine, had to reuse front cover because threads were shot in mount. When taking cover off, found oil pump was bad in replacement engine. Did not have all the updated parts throughout the engine. No confidence in them. Same way with the Deere rebuilds. Just my opinion.
