My experience was that it was marginal, and I used it for two seasons before moving the mower to an A.

Certainly I did not keep the blades sharp, and had to mow tall grass when it rained too much and the grass got ahead of me. That's reality.

I had the A anyway and now keep the front blade on the Cub for chores around the farm.

I bet your flail mower will cut well with dull blades too!
