I'm a bit confused by what you mean as a remote valve. All the super series tractors I've seen with a live hydraulic pump had its own oil reservoir and didn't have the lift all belly pump. Sounds like maybe your live pump was added later and used the existing belly pump as the oil reservoir. Does that mean your remote valve works from the live pump or does the oil have to pass throught the belly pump. My M has a two way valve attached to the belly pump hydraulic system. It sort of sounds like maybe you have the same type of valve. If so, the extra valve doesn't do anything (and you have no hydraulic action) when its in the neutral position. It has to be either pulled out or pushed in along with the belly pump valve (its a two handed job)to make it work - and thus you can work a two way cylinder. It can be locked in the forward position if you are working with a single action cylinder. Perhaps if you can explain your plumbing situation and we can give you more advice.
