This front axel allows the path of the wheels not to damage more narrow crops. Some old farmers say the added chamber helps in tight turns at the end of a row. It's listed as (narrow row crop special) in the parts book. 28088D and 28089D for steel wheels depending on serial number. And 37684D for pneumatic. This axel was also available for the Regular as 16283DX. The differences in the part numbers are dependent on the front axel shaft to be mounted on since it changed with bolster changes. These are part numbers only and were special orders. These numbers have nothing to do with the N in the serial number. I've only seen pics of tractors with this front axel on steel wheels or with a single rib tire. Mine will be on steel after I get started on that particular tractor. The Robert Bosch inline generator set up is the more difficult one to find. What a score! Nice!
