Pete It is most likely the upper bolster bushings. There is one below the radiator in the casting that the crank thing goes through and another just below the worm and sector gear. There is also an oil seal below this one. They are avaliable from Case IH and I believe there are also kits available which include both bushings and the seals. Not too hard to replace. Unbolt and remove the lower bolster and wheels. Remove the sector gear and drop the shaft out then you can drive the old bushings out and press new ones in.
