I have found a lot of cracked blocks over the years in the old gas start switch to diesel's and it is always ontwo or three or both. They are stress cracks . Ya don't need a new block ya just need to fix the one you have and to do this you have the affected hole bored out oversized and have a REPAIR sleeve pressed in and re bored to accept the stock sleeve she is then heeled since it has stress relieved it's self .
