IMO the 1066 would be a touch tougher horse. The year round cabs are ok. The cabs on the 86's are way better but the shifting can be more problem-matic aside from being on the "wrong" side. I had a 986 for awhile and I liked it. It was bought cheap though for the purpose of flipping. I kept it too long but did sell for a profit. Wouldn't mind a 9-1086 again when my budget allows to keep one.
