the tractor cannot be locked between 4th and 5th gear, because both "gears" are carried on the same gear. Just take the shift lever out, and make sure all forks are aligned, and check for wear on the lever. if everything looks okay, and the problem continues, you will probably have to remove the trans deck and check everything out. There are many things that could have caused this problem, so a little time may be needed..
